Master Vincent LIM's family root is from Guishang Village, Ankuay
Town in Fujian Province, China. Since young, due to his father's
(Late Mr. LIM Hor Pah) influence, he has developed a strong interest
in I Ching, Tao philosophy and the various Chinese rites and
rituals. In addition, his family has built a temple, Ji Xing Ting at
Jalan Hong Keng, which gave tribute to Guan Yin. As such, the
proximity has enabled him to come in contact with various Masters in
the Feng Shui circle.
At the age of thirteen, he started learning from a highly
acclaimed Taoist priest from Nam Sun Pu Ji Tao Tan, Master Lim Heng
Lee. Under his guidance, he learned the various Tao Philosophy as
well as various Chinese Rites and Rituals. In 1991, Master Lim Kim
Yang of the Chi Tao Dan adopted him as a disciple and during that
period, Master Lim Kim Yang taught him I Ching, how to choose
auspicious name, geomancy and the "Eight Characters" techniques.
Later, he acquired more depth and application from a famous
teacher from the Taiwan Taoist Philosophy Association, Dr Lee Heng
Li, who enabled him to acquire deep knowledge and skills in Chinese
astrology, geomancy, auspicious day choosing, nomenclature, rites
and rituals to enhance luck, proper talisman writing, etc.
Throughout the years, he also learned from a friend, who acts as his
teacher as well, Mr. Ling Kim Choon. |
